If you believe the Women of Ireland deserve their lost heritage and role models, please donate today. Together we will do justice to these extraordinary women and create a long-term sustainable movement for future generations to come.

How has Herstory been funded to date?

Despite funding applications to the government and national funding bodies (Herstory made it to the final of the 2016 Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Elevator Award), Herstory is still unfunded.

Herstory is currently run by a small voluntary team - voluntary by necessity, not by choice. We have no intention of giving up. To continue our groundbreaking work we need funding.

How was #IlluminateHerstory 2017 financed?

The Illuminate Herstory Festival 2017 was made possible by the County and City Councils and arts organisations that commissioned and hosted local illumination events in 16 counties on the island of Ireland.

What do we need funding for?

Herstory has big plans for 2017 and 2018 including a wonderful education programme, game-changing teen magazine, illustrated books, a TV documentary series, theatre productions and much more. None of these projects will happen without funding.

Herstory is a not-for-profit social enterprise and any profits generated will be reinvested in our education programme.

The sooner we have the funds the sooner we can roll out our plans and create real lasting change for the good of all.
