In September 2015 Herstory partnered with AIT where the 3rd & 4th graphic design students worked on a live competition brief to design the Herstory brand identity. The winning design was created by Conor Plunkett.
For phase 2, students will take historical symbols of domestic servitude - such as the teacloth and apron - and subvert them, twisting them into a canvas that challenges the Irish Constitution which still states that an Irish woman’s place is in the home. Students are asked to question perceptions and deconstruct stereotypes, exploring the evolution of Irishwomen and their role and representation at home and in society.
