Melanie Lynch


An award-winning creative, Melanie has worked for some of the world's best advertising agencies including Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Saatchi’s, with global brand experience on Martini, Adidas, Mini Cooper, Ubisoft, Audi and Google. 

As an intern at BBH London she penned the award-winning Barnardo’s Life Story advert, which increased donations by £2million and volunteering applications by 50%, with an estimated payback to society of £24million. 

Across the pond in Paris she worked for Fred&Farid, SIDLEE and Saatchi's. Despite the fact that she’s only 3% French, she was chosen to represent France in the 2013 Global Cannes Young Lions Competition. In 2014, Melanie was runner-up in The Drum Woman of the Year, an award to recognise exceptional women in the British creative industries. 

Back home in Ireland, Melanie is Creative Director of the new Heart of Ireland (Hi) Festival, where she has the pleasure of working with her mother Maria Bourke, Founder and Director of the Hi Festival. The Heart of lreland is a celebration of Real people and the Real Ireland. Their objective is to make goodness cool through game-changing creative projects. Melanie programmed 73 events over 4 days from the Irish Chamber Orchestra to pig-racing. The inaugural Hi festival was sponsored by 88 businesses and garnered press coverage on RTÉ Nationwide, Irish TV, Sunday Independent, Irish Independent, The Irish Times, RTÉ Radio 1 and more. Herstory is a Heart of Ireland project.
